this is my 91 ranger. i plan on lowering it, and repainting it. i would like to put old school cragars on it. But to be honest i am broke, and the truck has 160,000 miles on it and the damn wind shield just cracked, the tranny is getting noisy so there are days i dont know.

ihope this works i just opened up a photobucket account to put pics on here easier

nice clean looking ranger, looks like you have a great platform to work on, what engine do you have?

well with the 2.3 you shouldn't have a prob with the aftermarket support but you can easily lower it but it depends on the lowering you want taking a turn outta the coil is easy. and don't get discouraged man. you will love it

it has the 2.3l, so do you mean cutting the springs. i am wanting to lower it but dont have much money so i have to do this as cheap as possible. i would love to have a 3/4 drop, but i think i am going to have to settle for a 2/3 or 2/4. If you cut the springs which i know is not recommended, how much do you cut to take 2 inches off. or do you know where i can get a cheap set of coils

Well, Ranger92 who posted just up there did it for real cheap. If you just flip the rear shackles it's like... something like 2.5" or 3.5" of drop I think. Then the front, yeah you could just cut the springs... I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but it would serve it's purpose.

how much do you cut off to get 2 inchs

take a leaf out, or flip shackles...up front, cut the springs

Cut one turn of the coil out, then see how much that did, and then take out a half coil till you get what you want.
