The fun begins where the pavement ends
I've changed things around on this first post to make it in compliance to [TOTM standards]

Here is a recap for those who don't know. I picked up a 1993 Ranger 4x4 as a project truck. It had a new(ish) motor put into it not long ago. It has a light bar hoop, 3" body lift and new rims. The body is a little rough but nothing to be ashamed of. When it was picked up it ran fine and made it to my house. It wandered a little bit because the front end is pretty bagged out. We parked it in our driveway right next to the garage and it proceeded to not start. Follow along to see what I discovered...

Since the truck is now quite mobile I just wanted to put up a couple pics.

The truck went from this, bagged out and needing to get towed by a FWD econobox:

Read along to see the progression!

After putting on the terminal I started it up three times. I'm pretty sure the starter is fine, and all it was was the connection. For once something simple!:yahoo:

*edit* pics moved to this post

Since "Jammer" couldn't moved under its own power we had to move it to work on it. RSH, you will recognize this little car:D We decided to use my buddy's car to pull it away from the garage so we could get under the hood.

The front end, that is my favourite grille Ford ever made.

This is an after shot, after I figured out why it didn't start. Let's just say it was so simple I channeled Jeremy Clarkson and yelled out "I mended it!" TopGear style:icon_rofl:

It needed a new positive battery terminal... that was it. I put on a stereo install style one for later mods and it started right up:icon_thumby:

Excuse the Mopar battery, the PO worked at Dodge:icon_twisted:

You guys asked for lots of pics, here you go! I put in some more work tonight on "Jammer". Figured I might-as-well put a new negative terminal on, it looked pretty nasty when I changed the positive.

Here is what it looked like before, the positive was an even worse looking marine type.

The new terminal, I flipped the plate because it is designed for the big cable on the diesels:

End result:

And thanks to my friend Chance I had a new set of tails to put on. These are the damaged ones I was replacing, even RSH suggested I go this route for the tails. I like this style the best, plus it had the lowest life span of the ranger tail lights.

And for Brittney, in loving memory.

The end result, I think it looks pretty good. The boxes in the bed are basically spares for everything on the upper end of the engine.

May be a while before I get more done, aside from a wash and cleaning out the interior I am starting to get into the expensive stuff. May just paint up the hoop and bumper next.

So I know it is a bit "offroad rice" but I picked up one of those stick-on hood scoops a while back. The box said "Black Smooth" but when I opened it it wasn't even close. Normally when someone says that it is bad thing but this time it was awesome. It is actually the same grey as the grille and even has the same texture. It is for full-size trucks so it is a little big but I think it will look good.

Here is a pic of the hood scoop sitting on the hood. Took the picture on my cell phone. Didn't get anything accomplished tonight, but I did pick up some stuff to fix the mirrors at Canadian Tire for my safety inspection.
