Hey Guys,

I am putting fog lights in my truck, I already have my new OEM headlight switch for fog lights. I just need to know how to remove the old switch. I couldnt find any stickys and old threads on it. I just want to do it right the first time and not mess up dash by prying on things.

Thanks in advance,
Josh

You shouldn't need a new headlight switch... It should be a button that sits on the radio bezel, and for that you would need a bezel from a ranger with factory fog lights. Fortunately Fod was nice enough to include an all accessory harness which means the bezel will have a plug right behind where the fog light switch should be that is for your fog lights. then all you have to do is hook up the factory fog lights (if your going that route and put in a fuse or relay in the power dist. box).

Heres a pic of the interior, there is a switch below the 12v DC power plug by the station selector buttons which is the switch you need.

He has a newer truck, I believe his fogs are activated by the headlight switch itself. I don't think the headlights and fogs can be operating at the same time on his truck.

My credo
Perfection is worth the wait
yes, the 2009+ fogs are activated by pulling out the headlight switch.

I got the new headlight switch installed tonight, it took about an 1 1/2 hours for put the fog lights in and the headlight switch. The fog lights were easy to install I just removed the factory plugs and put the fog lights in, the wiring harness was already run up to them. The headlight switch was another story, I had to remove; radio bezel, gauge cover, bottom dash cover(by e-brake and hood release), and the metal cover behind it. Now tomorrow I have to wire the relay in, I cant wait.
