my '90 is stock with 31's, so no, not that odd, most just prefer the extra clearance...

Friend of mine has the same setup, but I do see most older Rangers on the road with smaller tires. Like Scotts said, I'm sure people prefer more clearance.

I tell him it looks goofy though since he also has a single cab, haha.

No, not odd at all. You have a gen 3 ranger, which can mount 31's stock compared to the first or second gens(83-92)

my '90 on 31's, it's a LOT tighter fit than a '93+ but doable on a '89-92

Can't tell... Is that the dark blue? Or is it black?

I'm thinking yours might be a twin of mine lol (taken within a week of it rolling off the dealer lot on stock 31" P265 tires)

yeah, the bolts are still on my bumber from where there was one on it.
On that link were it shows the washers, it seems like i would have to weld a bunch of them to even my truck out.

Some of the gen 3 trucks came with 31s stock, or 265 75 15s.

I put 31's on stock wheels and stock suspension on my 94 Explorer, granted the 31's are bald but I got no rubbing issues. I still plan on installing some coil spacers, I like to have more room than what I got now.

By the way you got a nice looking truck.
