The new season is upon us. April will see our first major TRS event for 2003. This year will bring some changes to how we organize and schedule these events. The emphasis will be on organizing various events to accommodate the various interests in the Ranger truck world. We have made sure to host gatherings that appeal to both the off-road and street crowd. Between April and the end of June we will be hosting an Off-Road Round-Up and a gathering for ALL trucks at the All Truck Nationals in Carlise Pa. Below is more important information about our events: Special Events Tasks Special Events Tasks will be added to the Spring Round-Up this year. In past years there has always been a need to organize something for people to do on Friday's after arriving for the weekend. In some instances we have done Friday night runs, but this tends to cause problems for some people and effect participation during the main run on Saturdays. I have addresses this issue by creating Special Events Tasks to create something fun and challenging to do without abusing the trucks before the primary trail ride These events will be held in the evening on the Friday of the event. Special Events Tasks will consist of either a rally or treasure hunt. Teams will consist of (2) people and prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Off-Road Adventures Magazine Off-Road Adventures is a magazine produced by 4Wheelparts Wholesalers. They will be covering the spring round-up this year. In addition to the event coverage, they will also be looking for some vehicles to feature in their magazine. After Round-Up Dinners People generally want to get cleaned up, get some food and meet in the evening after an event. With people staying at various hotels and the limited room sizes, we have found that designating a restaurant for an after trail ride dinner has worked out the best. Look for these gatherings on the Saturday of the event. Cruisin In Carlisle The All Truck Nationals will take place in Carlisle Pennsylvania June 27-29. This will be an excellent opportunity to bring the TRS street trucks and off-road trucks together for a major gathering. I would encourage all of you to attend. Prizes / Giveaways / Raffles Want to promote your business? TRS is always looking for items or gift certificates to be given away as prizes during our events. It's a great way to get hands on exposure for your product or service as well as exposure here on the internet. You Can Host An Event Want to host a cruise-in, trail ride or other gathering? Email us at admin@therangerstation.com and we will place your event on our calendar. We encourage members to not only get together here for events and social gatherings, but to host a day where you can get together to fabricate parts or work on a members truck. Events and Regional Forums Frequently check the Events and Regional forums for gatherings in your area. This is a great way to meet other enthusiasts in your area.
