1989 Ford Ranger Rock Crawler

TRS Forum Member ‘White Rhino’ has recently posted his 1989 Ford Ranger rock crawler for sale in our forum. The rock crawler is made up of a 1989 Ford Ranger extended cab on a 1988 Ford Ranger frame. The Ranger retains the factory 2.9L V6 and 5-speed manual transmission, but then sends the power along through a Stubler dual transfer case (doubler) to the Dana 60 front and Eaton H072 rear axles. The axles turn the 44-inch (44×19.50R16.5) Pitbull Rockers with the help of 5.13 gears and welded differentials.

As a Ford Ranger enthusiast who enjoys modifying my Ford Rangers for off-road use, I quickly discovered that there wasn’t any websites dedicated to the subject. So in 1999, I created TheRangerStation.com. What started as my own personal desire to help other Ford Ranger owners, has grown into a wealth of online information from numerous contributors. 20-years later, my commitment to the Ford Ranger, and the Ford Ranger community, is as strong as ever.
