Its a new year, new progress?
No, this last year has been rough. Last March i lost my father unexpectedly in an accident, in November I lost my aunt (my dads younger sister), and my mother was admitted to the hospital over new years. Money and my movtivation have been in the negative. I am hoping to poke at it when it starts getting warm out as it sits in an unheated garage, and i have no heater. I pick pick up a 99 explorer for extremely cheap, so i am going to take the 302 and the nice 8.8 it has under it and shove it in my teuck eventually.Same. Don't see you on Facebook anymore.
That is rough, keep on keeping on.
At least it is kinda trying to warm up out.
Thanks, its been hard on all of my family, but i have 6 siblings so we try to stay well connected to comfort each other.Sorry to hear all of that.
What kind of module and coil were you running? Thanks, its been hard on all of my family, but i have 6 siblings so we try to stay well connected to comfort each other.
Looks like its going to be in the 60s this weekend so I might try to poke at it some. The last time i messed with it it fried the coil, dpark box and im not sure if it did the dizzy as well. I am leaning more that it ruined the dizzy as some of the wires are a little melted. Im not sure what the hell is going on with it, and am thinking about picking up an HEI dizzy to simplify everthing, just am unsure about fitment with the explorer FEAD. If i do end up picking one up, im going to get one that is compatible with the engine in my explorer and swap that engine over along with it.

I was running a parts store dspark box and an unknown brand tfi coil that i grabbed off my brother 87 e150.What kind of module and coil were you running?
After I shorted out my ignition once and went from OEM Ford stuff to parts store stuff my truck has developed somewhat of an appetite for ignition parts. I think I am up to 3 modules and 2 coils. The last time both of them died simotamously while I was driving and it was like I turned the key off. I don't know if I should bite the bullet and go name brand (Motorcraft) or go to something like MSD.
