Multi engines have a lot more to keep an eye on and if you lose an engine having the sole power source so far from the centerline makes handling very different.Not like I know what I'm talking about, but it *does* make a bit of sense. Single Engine would be a lot more likely to crash if the engine fails. Multi Engine, you can use the other engine(s) to compensate for the failed engine. Single engine, when it fails, you're going down, no matter what.
But, like I said, I am anything but an authority on the subject at hand.
