I just used a 8.8 from a 02 Mazda b4000.
Has 4.10s and mini spool I put a Perfect Launch diff cover with girdle.

Hey it’s me again. What did you do as far fuel setup. From what I’ve seen my year(2000) has returnless fuel system so how did you run your fuel system?

Well here's what I did with my lil' 94 back in 2010...........I narrowed my Explorer 8.8 L/S 3" then used 2 right side axles, & did the Explorer style (leafs under frame) mod......15X12 Draglites with 28X15.50 tires:
52486

52483

52485
It does have a fuel cell in the bed as the original tank is gone for room for suspension mod & 3" exhaust.

No mods to outer wheelwells.

I had to remove some of the support brace on the bottom of the box, but didn't have to tub it.

I used Explorer front spring hangers and made my rear shackle hangers. You will also have to make your upper shock mounting crossmember.

I didn’t run a/c so I just completely removed the compressor and lines . I did shave the heater box for extra clearance.

I didn’t ever get power steering to work I never even tried to hook it up. The truck always had skinnies up front so it wasn’t needed.

I ran a corvette filter/regulator and return less fuel rail just ran a short return line from the filter back to the fuel cell. There are pics of this in the beginning of the thread.

For your dirty dingo mounts they got a tab on the back of them that go on the frame. Did you drill a hole in the frame or did you just grind them off. Doing a swap on my 05 and was just wondering.

My credo
Hey ya'll, watch this
First off, Im not a chevy guy.....however the way you did those headers made this a very awesome swap. Guess the main thing I dont like about chevys is the ugly bodies but you fixed that. Awesome job!

About how much would a swap like this run? I unfortunately do not have the garage space to do this myself over time on my 1992 ranger. I’d love to find a 5.3 to put in and run a little boost. Just curious what everyone thinks I would need cash wise to get it all done properly
