I have been trying to talk my wife into a 4dr Wrangler, I got tired of pulling her Edge out of the snow last year.

This Bronco truck thing is on pretty shaky ground so far too, I wouldn't take it as gospel yet.

Supposedly this upcoming news is suppose to make me smile, and be proud to be a truck fan.

This pretty much says it all...

Quote from the article... "When contacted for comment on this story, a Ford spokesperson responded that the automaker doesn’t speak on future product."

I'm just not gonna believe anything until Ford officially releases a statement.

Just the right size to touch the ground.
Maybe it will be a Ranchero...

Based off of the Fusion or Taurus. Wouldn't that be cool? :ROFLMAO:

mustang ranchero, needs to be rwd. a front drive ranchero would just be another dodge rampage (I think thats what they called them, were built off the omni chassis)

I guess you're right. IIRC the Rancheros were based off of the Falcon in the 60's. The 64-66 Mustang's were pretty much re-skinned Falcon chassis, so it would probably make sense to use the Mustang for this mystical creation.

After reading the Jalopnik article, I would guess the Courier is the hot news. if it is to meet a need that is not currently being met, it would not be the bronco pickup. the Jeep Gladiator is meeting that need, and for what its worth, so is the new Ranger, just without the longer bed.

a true small pick up that would be good for basic city driving and hauling small loads, there currently is nothing that meets that need. If ford can pull it off and make it reliable and not break in half due to heavily salted roads and rust after 5 years...

It really surprises me that they're not using the Transit chassis for a compact, uni-body style of front wheel drive pickup.

Those transit's are ugly. We had come in for a "chemical smells coming from dash AC" so we figured the cabin air filter was dirty. Turns out these transits don't come with a cabin air filter even though there is a designated place to slide a filter in. I figured it was the RV manufacture that didn't put one in and after calling a ford dealership they said the Transit's just don't have them. I'm like "seriously????" Why would you make a glove box with a designated opening for a cabin filter and just not make a filter for it? It is retarded..... So ended up spraying air freshener through the system since you cant get a filter for it. Ford does some of the dumbest things......

I'd love to have a nice low mileage Transit for a utility/service vehicle..

I don't think the little ones are too bad.

My brother and father in law are both sr master techs at Ford dealers, neither think too highly of the bigger ones.

So, they're *supposed* to be bringing out a pickup smaller than the new Ranger, based on the Focus (I think). I'd be interested in it. Went and looked at the 2019 Ranger. Too freaking big, and too hard to swap a 2.9 in to. ?

But seriously. Too freaking big.
