d44 jason you are correct on the zj d44 in most respects the d44hd or aluminum center cectioned d44 was also put under the wj's which was the body change in 04. it was a c-clipped axle, but with disc brakes helping some with the c-clip issue.

xj 44 1. it was free 2. i already have it 3. and the xj 44 IS stronger than the 8.8 (no c-clips and all that crap) 4. the bolt patern is the same.

has anyone tryied swapping an xj 44 in to an rvb. i have one now and would like to know of any problems that any one has run into.
