I have a 1989 Ford Ranger 2.9 liter with an M50D R1 5 speed trans (E97A or something like that) and I want to swap the motor out for a 2.3 out of an 89 Mustang with an automatic trans but I'd like to keep my same transmission. My question is, will the 2.3 bolt up to my trans without an adapter...
