Thread Jacked? Defiantly off topic. Poor guys just wanted to put a turbo on 3.0L. I would agree with other comments though, Unless you are good fabricator, have a bunch of spare parts, and don't mind used junk that might not work, 1000 ain't much to work with.

A compression test might be helpful as well. Help you narrow down if you are in the Lucky, semi-lucky, or unlucky categories. The test is pretty easy to perform and the tool isn't that expensive.
