I have the 1983 ford ranger with a 2.8l now my power steering always leaks and I just want to replace it to something that doesn’t, I’ve seen the heavy duty pumps that you can do on a 2.3l can you do the same upgrade on the 2.8l or is there a different upgrade I can.

Yeah that’s true and what about, the unit that’s in the stock tank just transfer it over? And also my fuel gauge isn’t working any ideas? I replaced the float and it is not stuck either

What about the shocks I saw that, in the front on the Dana 35 the shocks are on the opposite side of the coil spring

I’m going to install a 8.8 rear end on my 1983 ford ranger and a Dana 35 front end, I have the 2.8l with 35s, now I am going to go with the 5.13 gears, but what all do I need to buy to regear both axles to make everything work.

So, I have a 1983 ford ranger with a 7.5 rear end and Dana 28 front end, I am looking to get a 8.8 rear end and a Dana 35 front end, now it seems like the 8.8 rear end is a almost direct fitment to the 7.5. My big question is what all do I need to make the front dana 35 fit to my old Dana 28? Or...

Yeah no I got it working it was the ignition switch just trying to fix all this wiring up

On the big post of the solenoid? Where the other end of the battery cable is connected on the solenoid?

The battery post cables should be on the solenoid? And I’ll check those other things as well

If I move the key back a little bit the radio turns on but only flickers it is aftermarket

So I cleaned the battery cable and the solenoid posts like you said and I provided some pictures for you guys to see but it still has the same issue

It’s an automatic and yes it is in park the connections are good, haven’t checked the solenoid but the thing is the dash lights don’t come on. And it doesn’t turn over

I have a 1983 ford ranger, where it won’t start I replaced to battery about a month ago an optima. It is showing 12 bolts as well, but when I turn the key to turn it over nothing happens, not even dash lights any help?
