Was looking at the long travel kits and realized something (maybe I missed something).
It seems like the big names seem to prefer the torsion bar 2wd rangers over the coil spring 2wd rangers. Is there a reason for this?
vegasdezertfab, truetraveldynamics, etc. all make kits only for the...
The diameter of my research is correct, is that the diameter increases by .03 inches.
So yes, it should be a stiffer ride. But would it be brain jarring?
I think the blue sway bar bushing are made by Moog. I have a set on it’s way already. :D
I had bought the truck a little while ago. The...
I took some quick a quick look under the truck yesterday and I think that the torsion bars need to be replaced. Figured since I was replacing the shocks I'd just do the torsion bars too. I've done some research and it appears that the 2WD edges did not come with the stiffest torsion bar (#1)...
I believe people have used the roller rockers and had some good results. As for the ported intake and stuff, I'm new to the Ford Ranger, so not sure if I'm correct or not in my assumptions...
I think some of the stuff he has is for the 3.0 is for the older 3.0 where it had the non-composite...
Did a bit more research...
Apparently I can run this kit if I use the 4WD knuckle along with the 4WD hub and stuff. However, because I have a 2WD, I won't have the shaft going through the knuckle into the hub. Is there any press in hubs or bolt on spindles or anything?
Some here...
Found this in the tech articles...
Coil spring vs torsion bar:
From this... it kind of looks like the coil spring bucket versus the shock mount is in the same location... just one is straight down... the other is at an angle and higher up off the frame? Shame that the distance between the...
If I take both these statements and attempt to draw a conclusion...
So does not appear like the lower control arm will swap over due to the distance between the pivot points of the arms for the torsion bar LCA is different than that of the coil spring LCA? Is the shock mount in the same...
Currently looking at spindle lifts for my 02 ranger edge 2WD.
I've noticed that kits such as the Rough Country kit (https://www.roughcountry.com/ford-suspension-lift-kit-43130.html?find=2002-ford-ranger-4wd-412367 ) has a torsion bar bracket drop down. The other kits that I've found like from...
I have a 2002 Ford Edge (so torsion bars) and was looking at lift kits and that lead into the coil spring conversion which lead into full prerunner builds. Then realizing the budget needed, so back to looking at spindle lifts. You guys know how it goes. :D
Anyways... had a couple quick...
I feel like they're sagging. Front seems a bit lower that what I've seen on another ford ranger edge here at work. I haven't had a chance to mess with anything but figured this weekend, when installing the transmission mount, I'll go ahead and take measurements and see where I'm sitting. Not...
Do all of them poke through or only 3 out of 4? Seems like only 3 out of the 4 poke through.
And when you say rust, I'm talking the screw hole. Screws are easy to replace... floor board... not so much. How would you even rust proof that area without basically "gluing" the screw in?
Hey guys. So just bought my ford ranger and in the process of fixing things my buddy never got around to doing or didn't know about.
I noticed that the door sill bar (near the scuff plate) that holds down the carpet (in my case that vinyl flooring) had screws that went through the floor board...
Purchased a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge about a month ago from a friend. He had fixed a lot of things but then bought a new F-150 so I bought the ranger off him since I wanted a small truck. So currently in the process of fixing stuff that he didn't have a chance to fix or didn't know about. Truck...
