I haven’t had a metal tank to try it, the 83-88 filler and sending unit are in different locations. Not sure what changed with EFi and other things in 1989. I wish I could have a replica tank made. I already bought everything else brand new, not realizing my tank had a leak.

It is 125” Super cab. That tank looks like the 83-88 style metal tank. In 89 they went plastic.

Gas Tank 1989 Ranger Super Cab.125”wb I’ve had the hardest time trying to find one. In 89 tanks went Plastic, I believe it’s 89-91 that I can use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. New or used.
