Hi, ive got a 87 ranger 2.9 2wd and my transmission is going out. i was just wondering if anyone knows if i can just buy a 4x4 and switch out the back part. the only reason im considering this is because i can get a bunch of 4x4 transmissions for cheap and there are no 2wd's around. thanks, Wayne.
