haveing problems with the the truck overcooling ,the heat is there somewhat but the truck will run in the driveway and heat good than the thermostat opens and the temp gauge will drop than climb back up ,this will repeat the whole time running When driving down the road the engine will heat up...

have 89 ranger and the thing has what appears to be second fuel pump in the rail in front of the fuel filter ,is this what it is or is it some thing else ?looked around and can't find the part anywhere ,thanks chris
