My cousin owns Auto Specialties of Beaver County in Midland. He mostly buys rebuildables at auction so most everything has an R title but then they cost less for that reason. Cars for sale are on their Facebook page.
New windshield wipers to replace the winter blades.
Rock Auto, even with shipping they cost less than Walmart.
Thanks to global warming the winter blades were not faced with much snow and ice this year so they're on the shelf and should be good for another season.
Probably just how auto-4wd works. My old Sport Trac was like that, it was so annoying in snow that I'd just lock it in 4-Hi.
My cousin owns a repair shop and used car lot, his professional opinion is that since the pandemic everything is crap and especially don't buy a 2021 or 2022 anything made...
Family genealogy is more my sister's thing but according to her we qualify for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) thru my maternal grandmother's side. I guess that means if your family was here prior to the Revolutionary War.
All of my other great-grandparents came here...
I saw another video that showed thousands of F-150's purportedly stashed in parking lots around Detroit due to alleged "defects" and not ready to be sold to the public. Wonder if it's the same problem with Rangers?
My son just bought a house and if he were to ask my advice on buying a truck, TBH...
I haven't seen any at the Ford dealer where I got mine for a year. Crap-ton of Eff One Fiddys though.
They rent a vacant lot a mile down the road to stash the overflow.
According to a retired Ford engineer on another board, Ford added a carrier bearing to prevent driveshaft whip at high speed due to the length.
That said, some driveshafts were built incorrectly and cause vibration. Quality Is Job One, someone once said.
If it ever happens to mine I would just...
Yes. I'll get registered in a couple weeks. Ford is sooner and costs more so I wanted to get it out of the way.
I was thinking if you want to mail me some stickers I can hand them out to the Ranger owners at Ford.
I can make up some flyers to leave with instructions on how to register for Truck.
I'm registered for the Ford Nationals. There are two Ranger classes, 2012-earlier and 2019-up. Separate classes for BII's and Explorers. The Ford Nationals does have camping at the Fairgrounds at reasonable cost, $65 for the weekend, with the early registration discount it was $129 with camping...
A Sport Trac is less a 4-door Ranger and more an Explorer with a pickup bed, but there is that.
I've had two and loved them to death.
Truck in the ad is a South American model so I'm curious if it's legal in the U.S., emissions, safety regs, etc.
