    You have a bad part, running that way will give you a large oil leak.

    There’s no need to drain the oil, you won’t lose any. A gear wrench is your friend for this project.

    If there was only a way you could test for valves not closing all the way. Maybe like someone suggested after the low compression, a leak down test? How did it run before you rebuilt the carburetor?

    Some relays are made with a diode to protect the ECU, since this is an aftermarket one, there’s no way to tell if it has one.

    I’m not sure how much it matters, but the battery and starter connections on the relay are reversed.
