⚠️08 3.0 motor on 99 tranny...help please⚠️

I need a little advice on the swap I'm performing just pulled my 3.0 from my 99 ranger pulled a 3.0 out a 08 ranger dropped it in my truck used my original flywheel from my 99 just using 08 heads and block I was told I need to change my flywheel over due to it rubbing the trans housing...what flywheel do I need....p.s. it's a automatic trans

I would start by doing a detailed comparison of the rear of both engines. does the crank stick out different???? pics please.

a flywheel, actually it's called a "flex plate" on autos, that started on your 99 tranny and is still attached to your 99 tranny should still fit.

make certain the torque converter is fully engaged into the tranny.
