1994 Ranger 2wd, moving up to 15" wheels

Hi, My first post here.
My 94 Ranger has the 'Deer Hoof' 14" wheels , and I just bought a set of 15" wheels ,( same style ), as tire options are better. But I forgot to measure the center bore and got 'em home and the 15" center bore is APPROX 1/4" larger . Should I mess with getting bore spacers , if available, or just re-sell them and move on ? They are in very good shape , Thanks , Dave

The ranger wheels are lug centric, not hub centric. I run all my ford rims, don't care about holes being oversize. There is a slight chance that all 5 lugs will break off and you will lose a wheel but you're more likely to win a million dollars first.

PS: others will disagree vehemently.

PPS: this doesn't apply to lug nuts with an integral washer, those are hub centric.

I run lug centric wheels and have never had a problem. The key to success with them is to tighten the wheel down by hand to ensure the wheel centers on the wheel studs before final torque. Then recheck torque a couple times in the first couple hundred miles. It's good practice with any wheel really.

my 94 had 14’s originally and I went to 15’s, yes the center bore is bigger but have no issues, the lugnuts center the wheel and as long as they are tight you shouldnt have any issues.
