i just purchased this ranger, and im wondering if even well over 300,000 miles if it was worth the $900 dollars i spent

Probably, usually a RUNNING small pickup truck will have a minimum value based on your location, regardless of age and appearance.

People often don't care as much about "looks" on utility vehicles as they would for a car, they have a need for a bed to haul things so if it runs then it has value.

Engine doesn't matter a whole lot with small pickups as people don't buy them for towing larger loads
And the smaller engine, 4cyl, can have more appeal because of the better MPG which is one of the points of going with a smaller pickup

2.3l Lima engine was a runner, not complicated to work on and overbuilt for its power, so tends to last a long long time
