I have a 97' XLT 2.3L Auto. When I start it the Tach reaches 2500-4000 RPM for 2-5 sec before idling down. Any Help will be greatly appreciated.

Round.
My credo
I poop in the furnace.
It should start high then drop to about 1500 in a few seconds and then gradually drop down to about 800 in about a minute or two when it enters closed loop mode. It will start at even higher rpms if you leave the climate control on.
