Hello,
Can anyone with a 95-97 ranger plug in their scan tool and see what the ignition timing is at idle, fully warmed up, ac off.
actually if you could grab all the parameters that would be pretty sweet
So both vehicles have no error codes, and have passed all readiness checks.
my 1997 is a slug off idle, the 1995 revs like a champ.
big ignition timing difference 26+ vs 8 or 10
octane bar is in place on both vehicles
I though maybe I had an unstable tps the voltage was a bit low .6v at closed throttle so i just threw one at the 1997 with no benefit.
I am thinking the MAF reading double could possibly be the issue?
any ideas welcome

Engine RPM, 742
Ignition Timing Advance, 26
Airflow Rate from mass air flow sensor. 0.3lb/min
Absolute Throttle position 16.9
Calculated load valve, didnt take a picture
fuel trims and stuff were normal
my 1997 thats boggy off idle looks like this
Engine RPM, 760
Ignition Timing Advance, 8-10-12
Airflow Rate from mass air flow sensor 0.7lb/min
Absolute throttle position, 18.8, was 15 with old sensor
Calculated load value, 17.6%
short term fuel trim B1-S1, 0.0%
short term fuel trim, 0.8%
long term fuel trim, 1.6%
