Just bought a Ranger v6 Flex fuel with a factory radio. 77 thousand miles, clean and a great runner. Also bought a 2000 Ranger radio with a CD player. Different wiring as expected and ask opinions as to what harness/parts you fellows would recommend. Internet parts shown are confusing to this old bird.View attachment 27139View attachment 27140

My credo
Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
If Both the truck AND the CD player/radio are 2000's, the plug should be the same. I have done Factory radio swaps before and most are just unplug the old, and plug in the new. The CD player may have more ports than you need, but the factory harness should fit in one of the ports.

I had to blow your pic up, but I think your harness plugs into this port.

looks a lot like this one to me

Thanks for the reply. Having problems posting good sized pics of each port.
The old harness has a different plug in than the one required by the CD radio as 2 pins on one row are offset on the ends and the CD radio pins are all line. Also has a blade connection, 8 blades, on the left side. Are these blades not used?
