Anyone experience both the rear seat and backrest not latching?

Still waiting on Ford to build mine. Taking longer than expected.

I saw in a review somewhere on YouTube they can be finicky but I have no experience with them personally.

Yes, they had a problem with the seatback not wanting to latch. Some folks could not get it to latch no matter how hard they slammed it. Ford issued a service bulletin about it which simply said to remove the inside rubber bumper on the passenger side of the seatback. My Ranger does not have that bumper and latches fine. Rangers coming out now should not have that problem.

Mines a little stiff but latches fine, I'm guessing it'll break in over time

sgtsandman, don't know if it's both. I have the supercrew. The dealer fixed it. They were unware of the issue. They said they checked the other Rangers they had on the lot and found the same problem. They removed the rubber stop, passenger side closet to the latch. They said they adjusted the hook as well, but don't see how as it has a corner alignment piece. Production date on mine is 1-19. It's still needs to be slammed to latch, but at least it does now.

Ok, thanks. Now I know what to look for since I have the Super Crew on order.

I think it only affected Rangers with a production date prior to 1-30.

SuperCab rear seat backs don't fold down. And the base of the rear seats have a little lanyard you pull to take them out.

mine is a huge pain in the butt about that unless i push it real hard right where the latch mechanism is in the middle of the seat.
