3.8 to 3.0 header swap?

I was at the local pull a part today poking around & came across a 3.8 v6 mustang with a nice set of headers on it. My question is, is there any chance that these fit a 3.0? Just curious because i could get them really cheap, & they look new.

I wouldn't count on it.

The 3.0 and 3.8 don't use the same manifold gaskets, so the ports are either different sizes, or spaced different, or both.

Even if they were the same spacing and size, a set of Mustang headers is not likely to fit well in a Ranger.

I figured i would ask before i wasted my time pulling them off. They look like really nice headers tho, thick flanges & not even discolored. Hell i may pull them off & put them on ebay.

That's how I built my truck. Go JY, pull parts that are easy to sell like blowers, turbos, etc, and sell on ebay. Truck money.

Including purchase price, I'm close to breaking even. Jokes aside, I've left the JY with a full bed doing this.
