4r55e transmission ranger turbo will handle?

Hello.

I'm trying to build a turbo ranger, with auto trans.

My question is about if its going to handle the torque gerated by the turbo, or if it's going to have any slip problem.

Thinking about a 96 late model... or is there another year that is better?

Does anybody have any information about it?

The "44" in 4R44E means it rated for 440ft/lbs torque
"55" in 4R55E means 550ft/lbs torque

So you should be fine
