Now now... Can't blame the guy, he is from Iowa. I don't think there's a whole lot of Italian anything going on there.

They have a total of nine Olive Garden restaurants in the state.

If we want Italian food we have Pizza Ranch

I don't really do a lot with cars in general. My wife wants an old Mustang so I have researched those some, I have dabbled at researching four eye foxes for carry over into my Ranger build (like my dual snorkel air cleaner) Really old stuff especially foreign doesn't cross my path often. Old tractors, trucks, ships and airplanes occupy most of my attention.

I do have a wagon running gear made from a Model T though.

While we're on the topic, an old Italian car that's a combination of tractor, battleship, airplane, locomotive, truck, and Satan.

That thing sounds awesome. Racers back then don't get enough credit.

Pizza Ranch? doesn't sound very "EYE-talian"
They got pizza. Tuscan Roma is the best (tomatoes w/spinach and alfredo sauce) Can have good chicken too. Just about every small town in Iowa has one.

Tuscan Roma is the bomb. So is the chicken broccoli alfredo. And their chicken... man. Might as well call it Chicken Ranch, I am a fried chicken connoisseur and the 'Ranch has some of the best I've ever had.

Gotta get the thin crust though, sometimes they do it on the regular and it just ain't right.

Actually it is called Chicken Ranch more than Pizza Ranch around here. :ROFLMAO:

Project Binky has been thoroughly entertaining to watch. Their fabrication skills are top notch. They don't half-ass anything, ever. The video intro always gets a giggle out of me too.

This little car will be insane when they're done. All wheel drive, turbocharged, Celica powered deathbox.

So i flip open my C&D rag, and looky looky, a Lancia. the article is about cars that were not sold in the US, but are now "Antique" and can be imported. most are just euro spec'd versions of Porsche & BMW type stuff, but the Nissan Skyline and Acura NSX Type R were pretty cool.

Prices for importing any of them would be insane. It would be hard to find a good, decently clean example of any of them. $$$$$$$

It did me too but it makes me think a lot though. Where those guys almost celebrities like racecar drivers are today? Does anybody know who those guys were? Will more modern deadly crashes like Earnhart's crash just be an anonymous car crash in a video montage in 80+ years or will people still know who that was? Did racing back then pay well enough to really justify the dangers?

It kinda drives home how easily forgotten people are as times marches on...

I would rather have one of those Land Cruiser pickups...

Anyway to kind of get this train wreck back on the rails, radius arms are drilled out and loosely on the beams. I need to get a new pinch bolt. I dare say I might spring for some SS bolts for the differential case, I think they would look cool with the black axle beam. The ones I got for my T-case where roughly grade 5 (marked 416 or something like that) Pivot bushings are in, I will never use energy suspension pivot bushings again. Greasy grimy gogher gut grease you have to use brake cleaner to get off your hands, pressing the goopy mess together with the vice... but wait it doesn't want to stay together... directions on how it goes together sucks... making a rubber MOOG bushing look pretty stinking sweet. Might not last as long but hey the stock bushings didn't really look that bad after 34 years.

Other side is the vice yet hoping some of the hydraulic tension bleeds off so the bushing will stay together. Due to ongoing scope of this project my bench is not fit to post pictures of on the internet.

And swaybar/shock hardware is cleaned up and painted. Sway bar is cleaned but not painted yet.

Sorry about the rust but glad you found it. Also, how are your sway bar bushings? I had a heck of a time finding first gen ones. Mine were NOS, though.
