We recently acquired a 94 Ranger Splash from a family member. He bought it when it was two yrs old. He says that the jack was mounted with the spare under the truck. ( the jack was stolen out of the bed). I believe that it was because there isn’t any mounting stud etc, behind the seat. I bought an original jack and would like to remount it where it goes. Does anyone have any knowledge of how this mounts? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
In my 93 Splash and many other Ford single cab trucks I've seen from the '80's and 90's, the jack is behind the passenger seat. I have seen some trucks with extended cabs that have the jack mounted under the front passenger seat.

Thanks. I think if it was up to me, I would get the OEM brackets from a junk yard and mount it behind the seat. That keeps it out of all the dirt and wet and mess under the bed.

,I actually bought all the parts when I got the jack. I just didn’t really want to put it behind the seat if it was supposed to go somewhere else. Thanks for the help.
