Not to long ago I bought a 94 2.3 ranger as a commuter. 70 miles daily. Decided it really needs some more power. Got my hands on 88TC setup. Not looking for tire roaster, just something that can get out of its own way when needed. I have seen many projects on here with many different thoughts, but trying to find someone who has done what I am thinking and can give some personal experience.

I am thinking of using all the internals needed from turbo engine to safely run boost. As this is a daily driver I want to try and stay in the lower octane/boost range. Somewhere under 10 psi from what I am seeing to still run 87. Can the original mass air system handle the 10psi. Or should I swap everything over and regulate to a lower psi.

I would prefer to use what’s in the truck now. All the parts I got from TC have been sitting around awhile and who knows what might and might not be working. Just trying to limit the level of headaches from the swap.
