Hey guys,
So running lights stay on unless I pull the #11 fuse underneath the hood, both sides of fuse have constant 12v. So I check the relay #12 and it only has 12v only on the #5 prong. Does not matter if truck is on or off, or if the light switch is on or off lights just stay on until I pull the fuse. I took switch out and that didnt change anything, I have no power to the bro/w wire at switch until I put fuse back in. Do I have a short, or wires touching somewhere? What am I not checking?

Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to the forum

So running lights are on, key on or key off?

The head light switch has 12volts all the time, not a key on/off 12volts

Do you have Keyless entry, Fobs, that's what the Park Light relay is for?
Only time its used is when Fob activates it to flash the lights

Pin 5 at that relay would need 12volts all the time so Keyless entry could Flash the Park lights, it grounds pin 2 to activate that relay
Also Pin 1 should have 12v all the time

When the relay is "off" and the main light switch is ON the park light 12v passes thru that relay pin 4 to pin 3(pin 3 is out to park lights)

When relay is activated by Key Fob then 12v passes thru from pin 1 to pin 3

All the 12volts comes from fuse 11 in engine bay

Pin 4 should only have 12v with main light switch ON
If it has 12v with switch off then main light switch is bad, shorted internally

Pin 2 should NOT be a ground unless Fob is in use, if its a full time ground then relay will activate as soon as its plugged in and power the park lights
Could be the wire or RAP Module issue

If Pin 4 tests as 12v only with light switch on then you can put a jumper wire between pin 4 and 3 and leave relay out for now
