I’m not sure what to do here, I’ve tried to search but haven’t had any success yet. For whatever strange reason, twice now I’ve bought a new hose assembly and run into this problem. Both hoses came with a bag of O-rings, but they are all round rings, not the square cut rings that go between the back of the pump and the hose assembly. I’m not sure why they don’t seem to be included with the hose that bolts onto the pump. The local parts store says the only way they can get them is if I buy a pump rebuild kit, which I did the last time, but now I have the rest of the kit just sitting here and it seems wasteful and ridiculous to have to buy a whole kit just for two rings, but I dunno how else to get them. Hopefully someone here has an idea of what else to do about this. I’d try to order them off McMaster if I knew what I needed to get.
Just baffled as to why they don’t come with the hose and you get a pack of rings that you don’t really need with the hose instead. I’m going to run into this problem at least once more in the near future too. Right now I’m trying to get it together in my Choptop (let’s just call it a 91 Ranger 4.0 for arguments sake) and I have to do it in the green Ranger (00 Explorer 5.0). I’ll probably run into this again at some point on something too, so I wouldn’t mind having spares, I just don’t want a bunch of unused pump rebuild kits laying around…
