I have an 86 that came factory without a/c. I understand its a pretty challenging task to try and put factory a/c into this truck. I can get the parts pretty easily. My main concern is the wiring. Does the engine harness or body harness already have the connections i need? Ive tried looking up diagrams and wiring schematics but no luck. Wiring isnt really my strong suite. Any help and input would be greatly appreciated. I also introduced myself in the new section, but new and glad to be here and hope i learn alot and can help anywhere possible. I've looked around i see this topic has been drove into the ground already but i couldn't find any answers to my questions. Once thanks and i appreciate the patience.

There is a single pin connector that comes out with the blower motor harness on the PS, if you have that (green wire IIRC) that is what runs the A/C from inside. There is a separate harness under the hood that runs between the switches and compressor that actually makes everything work.

I doubt the wiring is there, the HVAC control is different between A/C and non A/C so I imagine the wiring is too.

so as long as i have the single pin connector the wiring for the cab should be complete. That should just leave the engine harness correct?

It goes to the switch on the dash which goes on to get power from somewhere, so yeah, if you have that you should have the inside of the cab part of it.
