Over the weekend I swapped the rear axle in wife's Explorer Sport as existing axle was howling.

I removed the brakes from old axle and transplanted to new so lines were never opened.

I did initially forget to reconnect the differential sensor but realized real quick when ABS light stayed on.

Issue: Now just before Explorer comes to a stop, ABS kicks in.

What am I missing?

My credo
Lead follow or get out of my way
I have seen where a speed sensor will just drop to 0 while the vehicle is still moving... 3 or 4 MPH. Had it happen to my truck. My truck would pull hard left when it happened. Ended up being the RF speed sensor. I'm certain it would be vice versa if the LF speed sensor was bad. If yours doesn't pull left or right... probably the rear speed sensor.
