Hello Everyone- I have a 1991 Ranger XLT and the other day, the Radio, power windows and AC blower all stopped working. All of the fuses are in good shape. If someone can point me in the right directions of what I need to do to repair this issue that would be amazing!!!!

Suspect Ignition switch is going bad or is out of adjustment.

Not the part where the key goes, but the part the under dash on steering column that has a bunch of wires going to it.

How do I adjust it? Or should I just replace it?

My credo
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
contact cleaner?
there are some electric "always on", others "on when run" or "on when acc" etc usually some "off when start" (to get more power to starter)
so to me sounds like some "on when run" aren't working due to failed ign switch or just faulty/failed/dirty contacts
it might be sealed
wiggle it around in 'run' ?
weird that some "on when run" work and some don't though.... you'd have to look at the wiring diag it would tell you what to chase
shop manuals would perhaps help they have a million diag charts else rely on TRS expertise
maybe loose connector? take a good look at ign switch itself and wiggle connectors

'97 shop manuals don't have ign switch info it's in a different book it wouldn't probably help you anyway I was just wondering
But I bet someone here has diagrams if you end up needing it
my experience is with electrical 90% of the time it's bad contact/bad connection/broken wire etc.
make sure connections are good
sealed units suck in a way because if it's failed it's failed, period.
unless you can take it apart and mess with it... the old relays would fail and you could take them apart and clean up the contacts and they'd be good to go
I don't know about adjusting your switch that would definitely be something to check out
maybe it's me, but lots of times I (used to) jump to the conclusion something is failed when all it is is bad connection somewhere so replacing the suspect part isn't going to help at all in those situations.
Welcome to TRS.
