I have noticed several steering columns on ebay was thing about a tilt with turn signal. Nothing special. I was wondering how to measure them to figure out which length I would need? They seem to be listed from 28-32inches. They want a crapload for steering wheels also. I'm on a buget. Anybody changed theirs out? I need to do something with the dash anyone used an aluminum one? I need to at least fiberglass it. I'm changing out the wiring harness so it should be easy to do something. I also want heat, vents. I'm guessing stripping the vinyl off and coating it with fiberglass would be easy way to go? I just not sure all the gauges will fit in the stock location. Thanks for any help.

What year truck is it? Why would you need to strip the vinyl off it it? I used a universal gauge pod and fiberglassed it to the stock pillar.....a lot of re-fiberglassing and a ton of sanding but you’d never know I didn’t purchase it that way for my aftermarket gauges.
A buddy of mine glassed the dash in his 90 something Toyota, I believe he just sanded the vinyl and went to town with the glass. He’s an auto body guy by trade. Looks amazing.
