I pulled a transmission from a 94 Mazda at a pull an pay type place last week and noticed the radio was like mine (that has been out the last few years) so this morning I went by there and got it. I didn't notice the "Mazda" brand on the bezel until after getting it out. It does however have the Ford factory label inside.
I brought it home and it plugged right up and slid right in so i hooked up the battery and tried it out.
It works on AM, I can hear the stations but not very well, AM isn't very good here in the daytime.
FM doesn't do anything at all, it will scan both FM1 and FM2 but not slow down at any point on either.
I have 360 days to find another one there that works, but wondering if you know anything I might try with this one before taking that step

Radios go bad. If your certain your connections are good and antenna is good... it's probably just fubar inside. At 25 years old your playing a guessing game getting any radio from a junkyard.

I know you're probably right on there Dirtman, but will likely at least try looking inside it before putting it away

I have one full of chowdah I'll give you for free... :ROFLMAO:

Inside joke. If the u pull it yard has a return policy no harm opening up to see if theres something obvious that can be fixed. If not put it back together and search for a better one.
