Man I had to dig to bring this one back to date

Project took another turn. I was actually planning a 4.6 swap. But a low mileage 95 mustang fell into my lap. And the engine and t5 behind it were the perfect choice for my intentions with the truck. So I pulled the old girl from her resting spot. And am getting back into it. So stay tuned. Within the next 3 weeks. She'll be road worthy again!
Wreck?

I would love a 94-95 Mustang... 5.0, 5-speed and black.

It was a mistake on my part

I bought a 95 mustang. Low mileage. 5 speed. Dark blue.

I have been working on it over the last couple weeks. Finally the water pump let go. So I pulled it in the garage to do that. And replace the clutch. Well when I went to pull the trans. I knocked out a huge chunk of bondo on the shock tower. After a lot of chiseling. I found so much rust the car actually started to sag in the front. So I decided the car wasn't worth fixing. But instead use the drivetrain in the ranger. And sell off what I could from the shell. So hence why I've started working on the truck again

That really sucks.

We are getting geared up for the Mustang Rally again over Labor Day in Sturgis (I ride up with my brother in his '11 GT) so I am in the thick of my annual "I wish I had my own Mustang" phase.

Funny thing is. I bought a 99 GT 5 speed as a parts car for mine. Gave 450 for the car. Still ran. But was hit in the nose. After I got it home. I found the car only has 86000 miles. And a clean title. So needless to say I'll be fixing that one instead. I like the "new edge" 99-04 body's better anyway. And aside from a core support and a nose. Car is actually clean.

I like either/or. I much prefer the 5.0 over a 4.6 just for ease of working on though.

You outta start a build thread on your '99 :icon_idea:

I do love the ease of the 5.0. But I love the sound and high rpm power of the mod motors

I will once I actually start working on it

4.6's do sound good. A lot like a old school engine like a 302 but smoother. Coyotes totally have their own sound.

What are the seats out of? Comparable legroom to a bench?

I have thought about going to lowback buckets so I can get a console with cupholders again. Kinda few and far between in JY's though.

The black one appears to be a bucket from a 66-67 Mustang, and the white one from a 68.

Black one is a 65 stang. And white one is a 67. I have new foam and covers that will make them both 65 mustang style seats

This is the leg room I have. I'm 5-10 and 250 lbs and I fit in the truck extremely well

So waiting on more hog rings. I tried using the ones from Home Depot and they just weren't working out for me. So they'll be here Tuesday. Also ordered the material for the door panels and headliner.

So tomorrow I'm going to start porting and cleaning up the cylinder heads. And getting the engine ready to drop in. I got the engine paint. And engine bay paint over the weekend. So Tuesday-Wednesday I will plan to be spraying and getting everything ready. But most of the engine parts I ordered are here so we're ready to get this thing started!
