I like the looks of them but not enough to pay what they are selling for. The same goes for early Toyota FJs. To find either of those I could afford, they would be pretty much a rusty pile of parts or an extremely lucky barn find where the barn owner has no clue what they have.
I actually like the FJ's more then the EB's.

Probably a CJ over any of them though....except maybe a scout.

The Scout is a good one too.
What was their bigger SUV called? The scout was tiny like an EB then they had the travelall which was like a suburban. But i know they had one like FSB sized...was it called scout II?

Scout II was bigger with the backwards opening hood.

I almost like those more then the 78/79 broncs.

Never had any seat time in one though.

I have never been in either, my great-grandfather's '67 IH light half ton truck was pretty crude. Steering was like a sailboat helm, lots of turns but lock to lock the wheels didn't have much angle, 4 speed shifter had like a 2' throw etc.

And clean the bottom of your boots with the road spray...
Actually had a 54 Chevy truck that I could do that. Used a bungy cord to keep the door shut.
I had a built up 283 in it.
It was awesome!
No pics unfortunately.

The IH Scouts and Scout IIs had a bad reputation for rust, unreliability, and poor build quality. Many of them had serious fuel-tank leaks even when new. Those problems continued until the end of production in 1980. IH's quality on its light trucks in general was pretty bad.

Those old FJ Toyota Land Cruisers were scarce at dealers out this way (eastern US) when they were current. Most of them were apparently sold in the western US. Seeing one of them new on the road here was rare even in the '70s.
