Can someone confirm if '95-'03 Explorer Sport doors are the same as '91-'94?

I know the interior panels are different, but will the door itself interchange?

This is for 2-door models.

The design date stamp on the doors from my ‘01 sport said 1991… so yes, the main body is the same and interchangeable. You will find that trim mounting points and other holes were added or subtracted over the years.

Ok, cool. I had suspicions they might be the same since everything seems to be identical from the A-pillar backward. Time to do some more digging (buddy needs a door for his '91, and no one local seems to have any '91-'94s). Hopefully all the spots are still there to drill holes for the interior panel if needed (and if not, we'll improvise it, lol).

Update will follow...

I do not remember those being the same past 99...or maybe it was o1 or so....they go to the big body belt line....and depending on whether or not it is running a certain trim the beltline wont match up on the older ones.. the carrier sections seem to be the same....skins not so much. but if it runs the big trim you wont notice....or maybe that was the other way around....

i do remember some glass issues as well. they look identical but there was some sort of issue to install it. but...that is some fuzzy long term memory...referring to the rear windows.

The rear side windows was a matter of lining up with the hatch. You had to use the correct windows to run a 98+ hatch on an older body.

aye..... yeah, went through this a long time ago...you know rust belt. and one member we wiped out the widow and door on one side one trip...then the other on another. i remember there being a postal application which i ASS U ME was the two door model...that the doors could be used to a point...but post 95 there were definitely sheet metal differences no matter what...then the last iteration had those fat bastard fenders....totally different....which i was thinking was 99 or so...
