So i picked up a 86 xlt with a 2.9l and a 5 spd for $60 that's right $60 for a running truck. The bad is the clutch is pooched.
My question is can i use the clutch system out of a '93 5spd 3L in my '86?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say probably not. But, that may be dependent on the tranny your ride is sporting. If you check the tech section, you'll see the article on identifying different trannys. An 86 most likely has the older model they used (can't remember it's name off the top of my head), while a 93 I'd going to have the Mazda M5OD. Even if yours is an M5OD, because the 93 is a 3.0, you're most likely looking at a different clutch because the two engines have nothing in common.
I'm sure someone will chime in if I'm wrong... But I don't think so.
