I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
When you're 400ft back in heavy woods, with the trees so close together that you can't fit anything else in, and you're needing to cut something thick, nothing but a torch will do.

I don't know man... that sounds like a good chainsaw might be the answer.

Corrosion is a minimal problem here. No salt or other artificial chemicals are used on the roads here. The only time I've had a problem is with exhaust manifold bolts. Especially on the 2.8 V6. But once the heads are off I"ve been able to get the bolts all but one time. In that case the EZ-out snapped off. I figured since the heads where going to the machine shop I'd just pay a few $$ extra to have them deal with it.

Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
So far, I haven't found anything a little heat and some "PB" Blaster couldn't take care of.

And here we are, auctioning off 9 year old trucks because the double frame has "rust jacked" apart by over 2".

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

When you buy a brand new truck, clean it thoroughly inside and out with alcohol or brake cleaner. Then push it into a tank of plasti-dip. Otherwise, move down here where it's hot and humid.

Im a welder and I dont even own an oxy/acy torch. Never will. I hate them with a passion. My last resort demolition tool is an air arc rod. My rig could dismantle a battleship or be gentle enough to cut a nut off a bolt without hurting the bolt.
They actually did that. When salvaging ships sunk at Pearl Harbor they were using torches to cut damaged steel. But unburnt gas would collect at the top of the inner compartment until a spark floated up in a bubble and set it off.

So the divers tried cranking up their underwater welders and would burn stuff off that way. This was all underwater and they had the big old school brass fitted diving suit so they quickly realized they had to wrap the electrode in rubber tape to lessen the electrical shock to the diver.

Really good book on the subject:

I don't need to move to get hot and humid, I have that here!

Plasti-dip doesn't help. The salt, calcium, and brine these trucks are used to spread will find a way.
