Long story short, got the intake changed. But now the car has hesitation when it's warmed up during acceleration at speed and from a stop. Had to modify the alt. bracket so that it would bolt on. Also changed the idler pulley woke I was here plus found out why I was getting poor heat in the winter, my tstat was shot, nothing to it.

But a hard thing to do, but it's another reason I hate EFI vehicles. A simple intake change, no difference between the original and new, and something decides to be temperamental about it.













All in all a "sucess". Need to get it to AutoZone and have a scanner put on it and see what it's trying to tell me, never had a CEL light turn on yet I've had codes (I bet the light was taken out by one of the PO)

the light should light up when you first turn the key on, if it doesn't come on, then the past owner took it out, or it's burnt out.

That's the one light I haven't checked to see if it turns on when I go to first start the car.

No CEL light on startup so I assume its gone.

As for the miss, going to replace the number 8 injector and go from there.

I sort of wish I had kept the 96 t-bird that I had traded for and was going to use as a donor for my truck, but that engine was too wide, the wheel bolt pattern is wrong, and the inside stunk of year old stale beer.

It ran like a scalded dog though, and got a pretty good mpg.

Mine did 18.5 mpg the weekend that I wad on my way to ft.wayne for the ranger meet before it broke down.

New plug wires since the old ones were soaked in coolant in plug holes and it ruins like a top ,if not better then before it had the coolant explosion.

Ordered front brakes for the car and it was cheaper and also an upgrade to get them off eBay for drilled and slotted plus ceramic pads. Cost for all OE stuff would have been about $90. These, $76.66.

Yesturday was just one of those days. Had to wait for my food at mcds drive thru so I turned the car of till I got my food then went to turn it on and very little to no electrical power. Good thing there was arm AutoZone basically next door so $132 later the cat had a new battery and new positive battery terminal and the negative one cleaned. If I had changed the battery months ago like I should have it wouldn't have costed near as much money so it's my fault for paying so much.

Positive note, she turns over much faster. Also it's good to keep my small tool set in the trunk of the car too.

The brakes will have to wait till next week since I can't park on my driveway because of the stress cuts haven't been cut yet and my property management is behind on their move in and out on their places.

Got the brakes and rotors changed, has one pad on the front passenger side, out pad, wear much faster then the rest. All are heat cracked and the rotors were too.





The circle marks are from the c-clamp used to push the caliper cylinder back in.
