Hi, I'm doing the duraspark ignition swap on my 2.8l and was wondering if other people who have done it could post pictures of where they mounted the module. Thanks, Lucas.

I would mount it on the vertical part of the inside fender away from the hot exhaust, this would remove it from the vibration and allow you to keep the wiring cooler and away from debris.

The ideal location would be on the firewall above the engine, next to the clean out plate, imho.

I converted my 2.8L to points, I think that was a better and more reliable option. I have just started to drive it 60+ MPH and 30 miles at a time, I think it is getting well over 15 mpg now.

I mounted mine on the wheel well under the brake cylinder. I found a harness for the distributor from a 84 2.3l I believe and the only wire I spliced was the green wire to coil neg the rest is plug and play.

I was thinking of mounting it where the old coil was. That way I wouldn't have to extend the plug for power. Your thoughts?
