I'm looking for a little insight as to where to start with pricing on my Ranger. I'm not really sure of where to start.
It's a 1990 Ranger XLT 4x4 2.9L Auto. Truck has 90k on it. Truck was originally from Minnesota, but now resides in Tucson Arizona. Has a 4 inch Skyjacker lift kit, James Duff front radius arms, James Duff front spring buckets with dual shocks,
4.0 radiator, 5.0 throttle body, match ported the upper and lower intake, RV cam, headers 33 inch Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires, fiber glass fender flares, over sized oil cooler and transmission cooler. Has some added gauges, alarm, new radio.
I can get some Photos of it tonight if that helps as well.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I tried that page SK, thinking of finding what numbers they'd tell about mine but there's no way I could see to get there from that. I think they're only interest is selling you one.
The blue book prices will tell at least something about one imparticular, but it's got to be in their little boxes as well

Search local craigslist and truck-trader sites for similar years(1989-1992) and engines(V6), 30 year old 4x4, so won't be selling for alot

Add up what you spent on the upgrades and divide that in half, unless you had someone else do the work, then divide it by 4
Add it to the price

Post it with pictures, see if you get any calls

Check if there are any local 4WD clubs or offroad clubs, there should be a few in Tucson and Phoenix, see if they have classified ads, thats really your market with the upgrades you have

Found this site: https://azoffroading.com/classifieds/ads/?s=&scat=58&lat=0&lng=0&radius=50&st=ad_listing

Might be a good place to advertise it, people looking here "know" what your upgrades are, and what they cost so............
Never mind those ads are pretty OLD, lol

Good advice by Ron. Unfortunately, most vehicles are money pits that one rarely breaks even on, let alone makes money or recoups the cost of repairs.

Modifications don't increase your resale value , unless you stumble onto a fellow hard core enthusiast with exactly the same tastes .

A sorta generic fourwheeling friendly buyer might be open to paying about the same as a stock one .

Joe Public will take one look, and assume it has been beaten hard, and flogged like a stolen mule .

That interior is in great shape and should add at least another $500 - $1000 to the asking price.

Make sure to post that in any ad because there's a lot of people who will judge how good a truck has been treated by its interior.

I would ask 2500 and then take the first 2k. Truck is good but those motors have issues sooner or later and there is not a lot of people looking for these old trucks anymore. Everyone wants new fangled crap with sensors on top of other sensors. Unless you find a ranger enthusiast then it might be a hard sell.

Somewhere between $1,800-$5,500. I'll leave my personal opinion out of this.
Of course, you'll want to tell the buyers, "they said somewhere between 48 an 67" :D
The reason those prices vary so much is that $5,500 is what they call clean retail. That would be a truck that looks like it was just driven off the show room floor. $1,800.00 is a truck that's in rough shape.
