Hey, what up Just picked up a 95 ranger xl with the 4.0 in her 5spd , she needs some love has about 330k on the clock burns about half a gallon every 160 miles. I haven't registered and drove it yet. Debating on pulling heads and checking gasket or just do a swap . My current daily is a 2013 mustang gt so I don't need to build a race truck or anything just looking for something to put my fishing rods in lol.

Kind sounds like my "plan".. it's taken 10 years and I'm still not there. Sides... who's whacked enough to drive way back in the woods of Maine in a 25 year old truck? Welcome aboard!

Thanks, I should of specified she burns half a gallon of coolant lol . The guy I brought the truck from has some parts he wants to sell that ill pick up he wants 125 for all of it, clutch master slave, hose, rear main seal, the installer tool , front trans seal, flywheel and clutch package , bearing puller, and rear brakes and cylinders. Im just torn I don't know if I should just buy another 4.0 or start saving for the 5.0 swap parts and motor. if I pull the heads and their cracked not sure if the junkyard is the place to go to try and find another set, could be just as bad.
