You'd probably be fine with a Torsen out back too then if you're not rock crawling. Should you need more traction on a dug-up hill climb or something, a little bit of brake application should lock up a Torsen at least as solidly as that ECTED.I might need to rethink that then. Not looking to rock crawl or mud bog but I do want a truck that is very off road capable.
If you really want a true selectable locker, then I'd suggest go all the way for an ARB locker. I've has ARBs in my rigs going back 22 years now. The current units made over the last 18-20 years or so are all reliable as dirt. Only thing is make sure you have a competent installer, as the stories you hear about air leaks are almost always due to install error.
