Go to RockAuto and look up the parts for both trucks. Compare part numbers.

The lines are the same. The master is different between the Ranger and F150. You don't have enough cylinder on one end IIRC.

Could I get an f150 master to bolt onto the ranger or will modification be necessary?

It looks like the Ranger and F-150 use the same slave cylinder, so your Ranger master and line (and slave for that matter) will work with the R2

The R1(Non-HD)/R2 slaves do interchange and I know at least for 98-00 rangers you can plug its stock lines into the R2 directly. But these slaves crap out all the time and they are like $40, so anytime the trans is out I'd recommend replacing it.

You have to watch which parts you mix together. The F-150 changed MC bores some time in the 90s, after switching the to M5OD, and the wrong combo causes a spongy pedal.

Its the same part number for a luk slave for a 90 f150 5.0 and 90 ranger 2.3 on rock auto. I have a line for an f150 and its a black fitting so if its the same part numbers for the slaves the fittings sbould be the same. I wanted the f150 line also since its longer I can try and reroute it so my driver side exhaust doesn't melt it
